   I went to the Lake Stevens area, a little outside of it. Went to Everett, and a bunch of suburbs like Lynnwood. Also, Mount Vernon and a lot of places to the north. I was more in the country side of things. I didn't do much in the city, which is a shame but I do plan to go back because I LOVED it there!
   
   Vancouver and Toronto are different. Vancouver has a lot more nature and outdoor activities whereas Toronto is more of a busy large metropolis. We also have more than 5 million people so its a lot busier and more crowded. There are a lot of activities to do in the summer, in the winter there are still things to do but not as many. I recommend you come between June-September. LOTS going on then. Film festivals even in Sept. You'll have fun here and there is an Air Canada flight that runs daily from Seattle to Toronto and its not expensive. Hotels are pretty reasonable here and you can find great deals if you search. Its not a cheap city but not extremely expensive but bring lots of spending cash. Only come between June-Sept like I said, the winter can be harsh here and not as much to do. Its also a lot more beautiful in the summer.

   You're from Seattle, loved WA state! I was there back in April and it was gorgeous. Cool name btw.
